 Dragon Sketches - Gaes

Gaes is a worldbuilding art/comic project that's been sitting on my brain for a while. I doubt its anything too innovative but its from an old story idea I had years ago that I've always wanted to revisit. 

Gaes has 3 main species of dragons. There used to be a lot more, but they went extinct in the same way the  dinosaurs did during an event known as Starfall. Depicted here are Wurms and Salamanders their descendants. Wurms are massive limbless dragons that live primarily underground and can move through earth like a fish swims through water. Despite there menacing appearance, Wurms are lithovores who feed on crystals. Wurm young are tiny, about the size of a large butterfly and have wings. 

Salamanders are six legged dragons and are a combination of bears, hippos, and crocodiles in terms of behavior's. They are very aggressive and are sort of a menace. Unlike wurms, Salamanders are omnivorous. 

Elderkin of Venus and Mars

 

The Elderkin 

A race of jellyfish like aliens from Venus who made the temple-cities of Mars long ago when deep oceans existed on the Martian surface. They have long since abandoned both Venus and Mars for other worlds deep in space. Although, there are still a few who still remain in the darkness of they icy oceans of Enceladus were they slowly drift its dark abyss, dazed and mindless.

An ancient race of artificial aliens made by the Elderkin of Mars. Created to guard the ruins of the Elderkin long after they left Mars. These guys are essentially are meant to be really confusing to look at. 

Hyrakkans

 

Hyrakkans 

A post-human race of of two headed four limbed humanoids from a terraformed mars. Two heads with the mind of one. Pacifist in nature and deeply spiritual. Those born with one head are outcast sent to wander the martian Sea of Ash to find purpose and meaning in life through hardship. 

Panzer Dragoon Tarot

 Panzer Dragoon is one of my favorite all time games. I drew these a long time ago, as I wanted to make a panzer dragoon theme tarot deck. I never finished the project but it was a fun art practice none the less.

Ophanim

Ophanim, Painted this a few years ago, this guy was the patron of one of my D&D characters who was a Yuan-ti. The campaign did get far but the basic gist was that my character was a warlock who thought they were a sorcerer. So she never directly met this guy. Never came up with a name for him.  

 

Strange Romance - 2017

 

Strange Romance was a comic zine i wrote in 2017 for a comic anthology that never quite made it off the ground. Its been sitting on my computer ever since so I figured I'd upload it here. The prompt was to Strange Romance, something you don't expect so I figured a romance between a space probe and an alien bird.  

Space Dragon

 

An old drawing from some time back, space dragon. took some inspiration from sea slugs. I'm pretty sure it takes place on another planet. One of these days I'm going to redraw this pic. Done in Krita. 

D&D Character Portraits

Some art of previous D&D characters i've played as. From top to bottom, Andrea Appaloosa, the centaur knight, Clarence Petch-Wayne Smith the 3rd Eladrin Bard, and Maruntu Skawduwee the Druid Tikeli which was a homebrew creation. They're essentially Tieflings but for demons instead of devils.
